For those that don't know, I am a HUGE Eminem fan. I did not like his last album"Encore" at all and many other felt the same. Because of that and the fact that he hadn't released an album in 4 years a lot of people were questioing whether or not he still has it.
I never questioned that, but I did wonder if he would ever put out another smash album. Well he did and its called "Relapse".

Picnic day is an annual celebration in Davis where EVERYONE (literally) from Davis and the college comes out and parties from AM til AM.. People get drunk around 9 am and there are kegs everywhere as well as open house parties.. It's a fun, chill environment and will be hella hella hella smackin... hope to see you there.. Kings game- They retired Vlade's Jersey tonight. (by the way, the game came down to the wire, we lost by a 3 at the buzzer and lil wayne who was courtside, ran on to the floor and started wildin' out when they won. Then Chris Paul ran over to him and gave him a chest bump. It was hella funny)

J Leake's 2nd album "Jeremy Leake" is a much more personal and soulful record then it's Big Brother "Chips N Salsa." The production is sample based with a variety of sounds. Ranging from Soul samples to Madonna samples to Jazz to dark to Musiq Soulchild to Motown. The beats were handled by 2 of Sacramentos up and coming young producers Kevin "So Crates" Sauer and Jeff "Sour Beats" Sauer.
The lyrics waver from playful to emotional to thoughtful to controversial yet still seem to
all contain a little humor. Clever word play and lyrics that make you laugh are something you will always find on a J Leake album but this record really let's you get to know Jeremy.
He Covers such subjects as graduating high school one day and being 25 the next day,
being a single father, drug addiction, past friendships gone bad and much more.
When he's not reflecting on his personal life he's finding clever ways to remind you that he is better than you lol. Although J Leake is a very confident artisit, he is insecure at times and does not try and keep that a secret. That's one thing I really like about him, when you listen to his music you never feel like your listening to some rapper who's immune to reality. He's very aware that he's just another talented person with big dreams. With that said there is something special about him and this album is yet another reminder that J Leake is an emerging artist with star quality and a down to earth demeanor that few with this much talent embody.

My first music video
Today I released my first music video, "Me and my blunt". Currently it is at 34 views. The goal is 10 million, lol. It doesn't stop there, we're also looking to sell 30,000 copies of the single on iTUNES (driven by this video). In case you don't know, were independent and relatively unknown.
Today is MArch 16, 2009 and I am broke as fuck. Despite that, I'm optimistic about my future. Not only in the music biz, but in this world in general. However, at the moment I have nothing to fuel my confidence other than shear hope that it is impossible to be this talented and go unnoticed. I have no management, no airplay, no financial backing from a billion dollar label,no coked out bitches ready to suck any penis I direct them to, I really have nothing lol.
That's not entirely true, I have Love, desire, raw talent and the ability to tune out the negative pieces of sh!t that say that I'm wasting my time. That's a must have for any self motivated person up against the odds. Whatever, im sick of this blog already. All im saying is that I'm going to be somebody hella tight and this is my first music video
